Twitter Phishing Alert

Beware ARMLS Subscribers! The above message is a phishing attempt circulating on Twitter. We know of many Subscribers who have been hacked in the last week from similar messages. Ignore all Direct Messages on Twitter that contain a short link with similar text. Another variant of the phishing scam says “Someone is saying bad things about you.”

So how do scammers steal login info with these messages? The short link at the end of the message will send a user to what looks like a Twitter login page but is really a fake page to collect your credentials. You can read more about Phishing in the upcoming issue of WAVE or from the Twitter Help Center.
