Fraud Alert

An individual masquerading as Subscriber Chris Buckley, fraudulently obtained his userid. Using his name and credentials, he is posing as Chris to gain lockbox codes to enter listings. Several thefts have been reported.

Use caution when giving sensitive information over the phone and/or email. Once a caller has asked for a lockbox code giving their name and userid, go back into flexmls and verify that the name and userid match before giving out the code. If they don’t match and you suspect fraud, please notify local police or the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6151.

    That is why I prefer that properties for sale only have a Supra lockbox on them.

    Gee….if we only used SUPRA lockboxes on our listings this would not be an issue. Oh, by the way, that is THE best way to protect you, the property, and your client.

    Purchasing ONLY supra Boxes is NOT the answer here, unless you are trying to make money for SUPRA and keep the monopoly going. ugh! Just ask who you are giving info out to and VERIFY their identity by taking 3 minutes out of your day to to tell em on the phone the MUST do this: “Email me your request including the time of day you will need access, incl all of your contact info to your email to me, and I will then call you back to provide the info you’ve requested.”
